This new Job Corps facility consists of eight buildings located on the former Charter Oak Public Housing site off Flatbush Avenue in Hartford. The concept is to create a campus environment that fosters a sense of community for the 200 students who will seek training in marketable vocational skills after leaving traditional high school programs.

The buildings are based upon Department of Labor prototypes and include: heavy vocational training, light vocational training, administration/medical, day care center, dormitory, cafeteria/kitchen, and maintenance building.
