Southern Connecticut State University, requiring extensive renovation and upgrades to their existing facilities, had no physical way to start any of its projects due to the lack of swing space. A proposed temporary metal building became the solution. Within 14 months, the 50,000 SF building was programmed, designed, planned and constructed , including the interior design. A pre-engineered metal building system was selected and the building will be used as Swing space to house administrative offices, classrooms and a variety of other functions as other campus renovations occur.
