56 Prospect Street is a historically significant,multi-story office building. The original portion is a 1931 three-story office building with one level partially below grade. The other portion of the building was constructed in 1965 with two floors of office area and two levels of parking below grade. The building renovation included the upgrade of the electrical, mechanical, data and communication distribution systems. The elevators and the restrooms were all renovated to meet ADA requirements. To maximize and increase the buildings square footage, the exterior inner courtyard has been infilled, creating an inviting interconnecting stairwell supporting the intra- and inter- departmental adjacencies.
